Roberto Andrade-Moreno is a California native born in Merced but raised in Long Beach. Roberto is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley and is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), with areas of interest being: environmental engineering, climate, energy, civil infrastructure, and water resources. Roberto’s other interests include STEM education advocacy and leadership development targeted at K-12 students. As a Berkeley Engineer, Roberto aims to actively participate in and contribute to undergraduate research projects and engineering competition teams. In addition, Roberto also aims to increase the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students within the CEE department through active participation in student-directed support and resource groups such as Hispanic Engineers and Scientists (HES)—the UC Berkeley chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)—and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
