I’m currently a resident physician of emergency medicine at Penn. This role is meant to be a “jack of all trades,” so I have to be able to handle anything that comes in through our doors. The emergency department is the safety net of the American healthcare system — I have the privilege of taking care of patients from all walks of life. It’s a pretty fast-paced and exciting environment in which to work and every single day is different.
