At Berkeley Engineering, we educate and prepare engineering leaders who will create our future. And that goes beyond inventing new technologies. It means understanding how these solutions make a difference in people’s lives. It means developing diverse, real-world relationships with others and knowing how teams work. There’s a growing demand for engineers who can skillfully lead projects and organizations. Who can be entrepreneurial and collaborative. And who can inspire others to innovate and succeed.

Engineering Student Services offers a wide variety of leadership and professional development opportunities for Berkeley Engineering students: programs like LeaderShape, Engineering Scholars as Engaged Scholars, and numerous engineering clubs and teams, as well as public speaking, networking and etiquette seminars.
At the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, students can team up to create new technologies informed by end-user needs. The Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership offers the Master of Engineering program, which augments an advanced technical curriculum with key leadership skills.
